TASKS: The Clerk of District Conference shall be an officer of the conference and shall be elected by District Conference. All officers of District conference shall be members in good standing of a member congregation of the Church of the Brethren and shall serve faithfully in their respective duties.
The Clerk shall be a member of the Nominating and Personnel Committee and the Program and Arrangements Committee of district conference. The clerk shall record the minutes of district conference and shall, in cooperation with the designated district executive minister, prepare them for publication and distribution to the churches. Details of the duties of the Nominating and Personnel Committee and the Program and Arrangements Committee, along with the afore stated requirements, may be found in the Virlina District Church of the Brethren Constitution and By Laws.
TIME COMMITMENT: The commitment is for a three-year term with eligibility for one succeeding three-year term. The Clerk is expected to attend all Nominating and Personnel Committee meetings, Program and Arrangement Committee meetings, district officers’ meetings and District Conference.
