About: Is your church board doing what it should be doing? Are your church board meetings effective? This session will talk about the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of church boards, and will offer participants eight items that relate to board functionality.

Bridging the Divide: Skills in Conflict Transformation when Emotions are Involved
Leader: Samuel Sarpiya, Center for Nonviolence and Conflict Transformation
About: Participants will gain skills in recognizing some emotional aspects of conflict transformation, and discuss strategies to overcome them. Participants will consider some case studies as examples.
Escaping Purgatory: Choosing 'WHY 2.0' to Overcome Existential Threats to Church and Camp

About: Church of the Brethren ideals (peacefully, simply, together) are as relevant as ever to reconcile recent seismic changes in society and church, and yet churches and camps continue to struggle towards stable vitality. A rapidly changing reality calls for focused mission, creativity, transformational leadership, and encouraging "smart failure." Using videos and shared experiences, participants will explore "starting with WHY," and will brainstorm how to build our 'WHY 2.0'.
